Warden Patrols FAQs

Q: How often do our wardens patrol your site?
A: Our wardens patrol sites at varying frequencies depending on the specific requirements of the location. Patrols can be scheduled at set times throughout the day, or wardens can be notified to attend a location if there is a problem. We work with each client to tailor patrol schedules that suit their needs.
Q: How do wardens know what cars have permits or are on the safelist?
A: Our wardens use a handheld device that is synced with a live database of all registered permits and safelisted vehicles. When on site, they can instantly check a vehicle’s registration plate against the approved list to determine whether it’s authorised to park.
Q: How do wardens issue Parking Charge Notices?
A: If a vehicle is found to be in breach of the parking regulations, wardens will take photographic evidence and record details using their device. A PCN is then issued either physically on the vehicle or digitally, depending on the site’s setup.
Q: What training do our wardens undergo?
A: All of our wardens receive ongoing comprehensive training covering parking regulations, conflict management, customer service and health and safety. Wardens are also provided with chest mounted cameras to ensure professionalism and security.

Q: How do wardens know how long a car has been parked?
A: Wardens will check on their device for any payment sessions, or permits/e- permits assigned to a vehicle and can determine if it has overstayed any time limits. They can also work alongside our ANPR service for precise times.
Q: What if someone challenges a Parking Charge Notice?
A: We have a formal appeals process in place. If someone believes a PCN was issued incorrectly, they can submit an appeal with supporting evidence. Each case is reviewed fairly and thoroughly in line with industry standards, through the Independent Appeals Service.
